Well…. it’s been many months in the making. Our first attempt at launching a new website with new branding did not go so well. Let’s just say my 2 year old could have created a better brand and design for our site. The second attempt went much much better and so we have a new site, new logo, and soon……new messaging. It is argued often on which is more important, a website and messaging, or the SEO. What good is an incredible site if it can’t be found, on the flip side, what good is getting found online if your site is horrible and doesn’t convert or portray who you are. The obvious answer is both are equally important, there is a certain synergies that needs to exist between the awe of a website and the killer rankings for that site in Google. We are close to reaching that perfect storm. www.pageviews.com looks amazing and will soon portray who we are as a company.
Our “NEW” website
February 11, 2010Engaging in social spaces….
May 30, 2009The Coleman Company, Inc., you know, the one that manufactures and sells camping and outdoor equipment, recently released a commercial that talks about their products being used to bring people together in social settings. Obviously this is referring to bringing families and friends together through camping and participating in outdoor activities by using their products. I feel that this commercial is spot on with it’s messaging. However, in today’s world, we interact with our friends and family through social spaces such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and so forth… When companies are advertising their brands online, it is critical that they are engaging their clients in the places that they are spending their time – social spaces. This can be accomplished through specific social networking campaigns or even contests driven by social spaces. If you expect to be successful online, you better be in social spaces.
Launching a new Brand (or at least a new idea of the Brand)
May 27, 2009I have companies ask me all the time what the importance of Search Engine Optimization plays in the launch of their new website. They feel overwhelmed when they are launching a new site that will have to compete with sites that have been online and in the search engines for many years. I always advise my clients to never put Search Engine Optimization on the back burner. It is imperative that this be one of the key focus’ of the marketing strategy for a new website. Just recently I had a client launch a new site with a somewhat aged URL. We advised them somewhat during the development of the site so it launched with Search Engine Optimization elements already implemented on the site for the most part. My first piece of advice when they officially launched was for them to set up a Facebook, twitter, Squidoo lens, and a blog, then to release a press release about their new launch. From these social places and off their website strategies, they can start to drum up attention in social spaces. Buzz around your brand is the first place to start. Remember, popularity equals importance!
Preaching Performance SEO to potential clients
May 26, 2009Really quick post today – headed out the door to visit potential clients and convert them to the new way of SEO, performance based SEO. It seems that every week we are uncovering and closing more and more opportunities. I think as we have new success’s with clients, we are building our portfolio and using their success’s to convert new clients to the performance based SEO gospel.
No Ball League (NBA)
May 25, 2009Dribble, pass, dribble, dribble, whistle, free throws. Pass, dribble, whistle, free throws, etc…. so on and so forth. I am getting sick of watching NBA basketball. Where has the skill gone? Why are there so many fouls and no fluidity to the game anymore. It is really boring to watch nothing but hard fouls, a grown man complaining and whining like a baby about the hard foul that he just meant to commit, and then another grown man missing a “FREE” throw. Horrible game anymore and pretty much unwatchable. Is March going to be here anytime soon???
Why Page Views???
May 24, 2009Page Views Interactive was founded in 1998. We have been doing search engine and online marketing before Google was Google. After 10 years of search engine optimization experience – we decided to shed the old way of doing SEO / onsite, tags, content, and so forth…. and focus on off site optimization. This is done through social media, lenses, blogs, press releases, articles, pod casts, videos – basically building many different authority links. We are doing all of this for our clients and doing it based on performance. Performance based SEO is really the only way to go. So, you can go old school and pay and pray for results, or new school and pay when you see results.
Performance Based SEO is taking over the industry
May 22, 2009It is hard for me to comprehend why any company would continue to pay SEO providers the “traditional” way – paying month to month while hoping, praying, crossing their fingers, lighting candles, doing pretty much anything they can in hopes of their “money” keywords getting ranked on the first page and if they are lucky, #1 in Google. With Page Views Interactive’s performance based SEO www.pageviews.com approach, our clients do not pay us until we have them ranked in the top 5, top 3, and / or #1 in Google for their “money” keywords. Seems like an easy decision to me. We have plenty of clients and references that prove just how easy of a decision it is.
